i have recently read thirty years of silence and its a real eye opener to what kind of abuse is out there and how a person can make another person keep the silence. Elise is a strong and brave woman who endured a life of abuse by a sick man. she never gave up hope on one day of having a "normal" life. she is such an insperation to those who are being or have been abused. i hope u will find this story as intriging as i have. i have not been able to put this book down since i have bought it. i hope she will write a part two for the healing process. :)
An excellent read, October 11, 2012 By Customer1414 - Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Thirty Years Of Silence (Kindle Edition) "Thirty Years of Silence" is an amazing story and a very well written book. The family dynamics are portrayed in a manner that makes you understand how this horrible thing could actually happen to a person. The author is a strong and resilient woman who is a great role model for victims of abuse. She is very truthful of how she struggled with leaving and how she lived through the abuse. I highly recommend this book.
CHRISTINA M MOONEY January 20, 2013 The book was so good. It was so honest, frustrating (because you wanted to see her freed so much sooner) and very heartbreaking. No one should have to endure this type of abuse. I was so happy to see that she overcame all this horribletragedy and become the writer she is today. Thank you for writing this book and letting others know they are not alone and can overcome their bondage as well, and sooner.
5.0 out of 5 stars amber almos January 15, 2013 Amazing story of courage and strength. One could only hope to be as strong as Elise.. I would recommend this book to anyone..
5.0 out of 5 stars SpikeysMommy December 27, 2012 This excellent book held my interest from beginning to end. Elise had a very special way of telling her story that seemed to carry the reader seamlessly through all the different phases in her life. She was a very strong woman to have survived the evil inflicted by her stepfather. So sad to discover her mom was part of it.
This book is a very good book and I think it will help people out in the world. May God Bless You Elise.
